I'm Kathy {also known as The Garbologist's Wife.}  I run a lovely little online shop dedicated to creating hip & eco-conscious  women's clothing in sizes small to 3x.   You'll find modern, retro-inspired, elegant & wearable design paired with sustainable materials & practices in every garment I create.  

My sustainable fashion uses environmentally friendly textiles, supports small & local businesses when using new materials and  never uses animal products in anything ever (no leathers or silks.)  The line includes organic cotton, bamboo, recycled textiles, upcycled fabrics and vintage materials.

What is UPCYCLING?  It's the practice of taking something that is disposable & transforming it into something usable & more valuable (think Fraulein Maria in the Sound of Music making clothes from the drapes for the children).  I rummage through stacks of vintage linens & previously loved materials at consignment shops, thrift stores & tag sales.  I  find the best quality materials, take them home & sew up a storm.
